christmas traditions: nature walk
Every year, when I make the trek back to Ottawa for the holidays, my family goes on a walk through the bush. Since I was born, I've been on this trail in one way or another; whether it's been in a backpack or on foot myself, I've always been exploring it.

a firebird
This is my Uncle Blair and his first ever car (an awesome blue pontiac Firebird).
I got a chance to visit some family out in Edmonton while I was out there for work. Before it was put away for winter, he gave me a quick drive in this awesome ride. I couldn't help but snap a few photos before we headed back for supper.
I love this car.

Peggy's Cove
After working in Halifax for a few days, I was able to drive to Peggy's Cove with Ravina (the job's project manager). We arrived right after the sun had set, so I was only able to get a few photos before it got too dark.
Oh, and here's a shot of me checking out the ocean.

benedict cumberbatch
I was commissioned to photograph the awesome actor Benedict Cumberbatch by The Guardian UK last Sunday. It was the cover story for their Weekend magazine.
Being a massive fan of his portrayals of Sherlock and Khan, it was amazing to have him in front of my camera. Even though I only had 10 minutes with him, I was able to shoot him in a way I didn't think I would.
The interview is an interesting read as well, and can be found here.
Here's what it looked like in print (thanks to my now European friend Stuart for snapping these for me).

i want to believe
I've always had a fascination with aliens. I've always believed that we aren't alone.
I decided to do a series imagining the moment when people realize what they see in the sky is something not of our world.
